Since its inception in 1997, Rethinking the Information Highway has become one of the most respected and relied upon sources of insight on how the movement online continues to redefine the issues facing the private and public sectors. Designed to go beyond monitoring penetration indicators, this study encompasses all facets of the Information Highway including e-commerce, wireless communications, and issues surrounding privacy and security. Rethinking the Information Highway continues to provide sponsors with timely, relevant and thorough insight into strategic issues that help them adapt and navigate in today's changing environment.

Each year the Rethinking the Information Highway research team continues to track key penetration and usage indicators, satisfaction levels and other existing patterns of behaviour related to the Information Highway while at the same time, focusing on key strategic issues facing organizations today. This study is tailored to clients' needs enabling companies to steer their future organizational activities in a way that will help meet the needs of a changing market.

EKOS' Rethinking the Information Highway study is a horizontal public-private sector partnership, providing clients with one of the most comprehensive examinations of issues resulting from information and communication technology initiatives today. Sponsors include many of the largest players in the financial and telecommunications sectors, as well as major government departments with an important stake in electronic service delivery.
